The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its first list of 54 candidates who shall be contesting for the Lok Sabha elections later this year. The list was announced after a party meeting of the central election committee. The list includes candidates of several states including Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Maharashtra.
17 candidates were declared from West Bengal state and 6 candidates from Odisha. The list of candidates being contesting for the elections from the other states is yet to be released.
